Plastic Surgery Center - Dra. Tania Medina Verified

The top plastic surgeon in Santo Domingo, Dr. Tania Medina, has been inclined toward the pursuit of beauty, skin care and the improvement and enhancement of the female form since she began participating in various beauty pageants.

I must say that overall, it was a great experience. Loving the results, and I am not even fully recovered yet. Can not WAIT for a full recovery. To ease some future concerns. I traveled by myself. As the Dr. says be comfortable knowing that you are in good hands. She has her team ready to care for you from the moment you step a foot into the country. I would without a doubt recommend her.

What is Arm Lift (Brachioplasty)?

The objective of the arm lift (also known as Brachioplasty) procedure is to improve the contour in the upper arm by lifting and removing excess fat and skin that has lost its elasticity due to age or fluctuation in weight.

A Good Candidate for Arm Lift (Brachioplasty)

Good Candidates for arm lift surgery are healthy non-smoking individuals that are over the age of 18.

Arm Lift (Brachioplasty) Procedure

The first step is a detailed consultation with your surgeon who will discourse with you the best method(s) to achieve your desired end results. Incisions are made on the inner part of each arm. The lengths of the incisions depend on the amount of skin that needs to be removed. Occasionally, incisions are made from the inside of the upper arm, all the way down to the inner elbow.

Excess skin is either cut out surgically, or if stubborn fat deposits are present, the surgeon may choose to remove them via liposuction. Incisions are closed with dissolvable or removable stitches, in which case the patient may or may not be required to return to the hospital for a follow-up visit to have the stitches removed.

This procedure is outpatient, which means that the patient can return home the same day of the surgery, unless advised otherwise by the doctor.

Average Duration of Arm lift Surgery: 2 hours
