Couples and singles who are unable to have children of their own naturally have the choice of surrogacy in Georgia. Since adoption is becoming more difficult, many people are increasingly turning to surrogacy as an alternative to fulfill their dreams of parenthood.
In many countries surrogacy might be legal but costs can be extremely high and unaffordable for many. The laws in Georgia state that the Intended or Biological Parents will be registered as the parents of the child. Even if an egg or sperm donor is used, the Intended Parent/s will be deemed as the legal parents of the child. Within a day of the birth, the birth certificate will be issued. The consent of the surrogate mother is not required for the registration of the intended parents.
In many cases intended parents need an egg or a sperm donor. It is not possible to use both an egg and a sperm donor as there must be a biological link to the baby/s. For the appropriate donors to be matched, your blood type will be required and donors are generally under 30 years of age, have undergone infectious disease and other screeings and health checks.
